I started out in Philadelphia where “growing up Italian” means the story of Rocky is more than a movie—it’s a way of life. And while I won’t pretend I was Rocky, I know what it feels like to be knocked down, beaten, and counted out. Both of my parents were from South Philly, and while I didn’t grow up there my whole life, the city stamped me early—and its spirit followed me everywhere.
My mom worked as secretary to Frank Rizzo, Philly’s larger-than-life mayor. My brother still lives there, and most of my mom’s big Italian family lived just across the Delaware River in Jersey, keeping Atlantic City humming—from cocktail waitresses to gaming managers.
Then there was my father. Irish by blood but forged in Philly’s streets, he was in more fights by 18 than most see in a lifetime. Brilliant at marketing, a genius with numbers who could run calculus in his head, and the best salesman you’d ever meet—he was also a master persuader, though not always for the noblest of reasons. From him, I inherited the raw gifts of persuasion, strategy, and vision — while also learning that brilliance without virtue can wound more than it heals.
My father even hinted at being a Navy SEAL — a claim long debated in family circles. But there was no debate about one of his closest friends—my “Uncle” Ray—who was, in fact, among the very first SEALs.
From Uncle Ray, a young Mike learned early what precision meant — sniper-like focus, not a shotgun approach to anything. From my father, though his brilliance left a shadow, it also gave me a blueprint—take the strengths, leave behind the manipulation. That became a guiding force.
Philly didn’t tolerate excuses. Thankfully, baseball taught me structure, martial arts taught me resilience in the pursuit of mastery and, most importantly, my grandmother’s faith taught me that no matter how many times I got knocked down, God would always carry me. Further adding to the tapestry of my childhood, I was (and still am) a die-hard Phillies fan – idolizing Mike Schmidt which led to my baseball pursuits. And to round it out, that tapestry hummed along with the soundtrack of Kenny Rogers’ The Gambler and Coward of the County along with the Rocky theme on repeat. Those became my battle cries.
Philly grit trained me to rise early on. Through blood, betrayal, and heartbreak, one truth stuck with me: Winners Find Ways.
Years later, I poured everything into building a business with my parents—taking it from zero to one of the top 3 in the industry in the US in just 3 years, with a multi-million-dollar valuation. Domination was on the horizon.
But then came the gut punch. Without diving into all the details, my parents and I didn’t see eye-to-eye on what was best for me. There’s a difference between what’s truly best for and what others think is best. When I resisted the greatest in a litany of manipulation attempts, my father saw an opportunity, got my mother on board—and took full advantage. The result? My ownership stake in the business was manipulated away from me.
Sadly, I wasn’t the first sibling to get the boot. My brother had been backed into a similar corner before me, and like him, I was left with no choice but to divorce myself from my parents.
Make no mistake: the tragedy was real and I was forced to rebuild much of my life in my 30’s. But God had already blessed me less than a year earlier with Jessica—the brilliant, beautiful, God-centered woman who would become my wife, my better half, and the mother of my children. Not coincidentally, just 5 days after our engagement, the betrayal plan was set in full motion. While not caused by it, the engagement was the final cog in the wheel. God knew I’d need her strength beside me for what was coming

Even before that greatest test, God was already piloting my journey. If grit was my foundation, precision was the sharpening edge.
In high school and college, if I wasn’t on the baseball field smacking home runs and gunning runners out from 3rd base or behind the plate, I was studying virtually every Tony Robbins personal and business program — like he was standing beside me, revealing distinction after distinction. Besides Tony, my earliest “live and in person” mentor — formerly one of Jack Welch’s right-hand men at GE and founder of the original Rainmakers sales and growth consultancy — stepped into my life when I was still in my early 20’—after I nervously hung a flyer on his office door in the middle of the night advertising my little marketing company. The next day, I got a call! Talk about dumb luck! He saw advanced marketing ability in me especially for my age and the potential to grow business like clockwork. He became my first true mentor, sharpened my instincts and gave me my first real playbook for massive — and sustainable — growth.
After the betrayal, God continued to place new giants in my path. The longtime VP of Sales & Growth for Tony Robbins’ Business Breakthroughs International mentored me twice a week for over 3 years. Others followed — between live, courses and masterminds — including the man behind the mental and execution games of peak performance athletes, most notably, Kobe Bryant’s legendary “Black Mamba” mentality and execution habits.
I don’t share this to name-drop. I share it because even in heartbreak, God kept guiding me to the right people at the right time. Those mentors, combined with Philly grit, Jessica’s strength, and my father’s shadow, forged me into someone who could not only build and rebuild—but, most importantly, help others do the same.
Looking back, my calling to serve dentists and doctors wasn’t random. As a teenager, tragedy struck when a doctor in my family’s circle of friends took his own life. It left a mark on me I’ve never shaken: the hidden battles doctors and dentists face—while carrying the weight of caring for others.
Dentists, in particular, carry one of the highest suicide rates of any profession. That haunted me. And while I felt God pulling me closer to this work, my path wasn’t a straight line. After the betrayal that forced me to start over, I threw myself into leading marketing and sales operations across several industries—working with high-profile clients like Disney, NFL Films, MATCO Tools, and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as multiple medical and dental media companies. I was honored with multiple President’s Circle and #1 National Marketing & Sales Awards.
But even with that success, I kept being pulled back to practice owners. I couldn’t shake the memory of that tragedy I saw as a teenager… and the quiet despair so many doctors carry. That reminder hit me every time I sat across from a dentist or physician worn down by the stress of trying to grow a practice while serving patients with excellence.
For more than 12 years now, I’ve been blessed to help hundreds of practices find their footing, flip despair into massive growth, and reclaim their calling. Helping practice owners isn’t just my career. I was called to serve healers.
The betrayal I faced opened my eyes to the same kind of deception you’ve probably seen or experienced: dentists and doctors pouring their lives into their practices — only to be held hostage by slick-talking “dental-specific” or “exclusive regenerative medical” marketing agencies. Shtick like “guaranteed first page of Google in 30 days or you don’t pay” agencies. Or “it doesn’t matter that Google blocks and blacklists websites for ‘stem cells’ – we’ll still get you found” marketing companies.
Overpromised. Underdelivered. Doctors shoved into cookie-cutter “systems.” Their passion strangled by mediocrity. Their precious growth time lost and dollars wasted — never to be recovered.
And here’s what makes me sick: doctors on a mission to heal getting sold snake oil, “proprietary systems,” and half-baked Go HighLevel setups with invoices stacked higher than their results.
The Rocky theme still echoes in my head, because like the Italian Stallion pulling himself off the mat in the final round, I rose again. But this time the fight wasn’t just for me—it was for you, the practice owners who need someone in their corner.
So I built a new model. Not another agency. Not another gimmick. Not another self-proclaimed “thought-leader” having interns ghost write their “practice growth” books and running your campaigns — while they’re out buying another sportscar with your money.
Instead—a proven, elite and extreme practice growth playbook—plus ME. Personally. No account manager. No intern. Me.
In a broken, marketing agency-reliant industry model, if I’m not personally involved, I’m not interested. That’s why I don’t take on more than 12 clients at one time.
My doctors become my friends. Outside of my family, my doctors’ success becomes my #1 Thing. Failing them is not an option. I care too much.
Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to stand on the shoulders of legends—mentors who taught me how to think about winning, precision, and growth. They handed me playbooks forged in Fortune 500 boardrooms, world-class sales floors, and the highest levels of performance psychology. But I didn’t stop there.
I took those lessons, refined them through the fire of betrayal and setbacks, and built something the dental and medical practice world had never seen before: an elite and extreme growth system that doesn’t just compete with agencies, consultants, or “proprietary systems.” It immediately commands them. Then it outperforms them. Consistently. Predictably. And at a winning percentage no one else can touch when a doctor-CEO truly partners with me.
Today, my mission is simple: take everything Philly, God and life has given me—and MAKE SURE YOU WIN.
Over the years, I’ve taught CE-eligible courses and intensive workshops on elite marketing, patient conversion, and practice growth mastery at industry pillars like the Academy of General Dentistry’s Scientific Session at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston, the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry in San Diego, the American Academy of Dental Office Managers in Orlando, and countless specialty medical masterminds and webinars across the country. I’m also a published author in extreme dental practice growth and marketing mastery, with strategies that have fueled hundreds of doctors to record-breaking results—and I’m currently writing a step-by-step Rainmaker playbook to put that roadmap directly in the hands of practice owners.
But truthfully, those platforms and publications matter less than the outcome: practices turned around, doctors freed from despair, lives and legacies restored, and practice owners finally empowered to live the calling they once only dreamed was possible.
